When it comes to shaping our city for better bicycling and healthier living, the SF Bicycle Coalition's 11,000 members are the agents of change.
Start this new year off right by adding your voice to the SF Bicycle Coalition's strong advocacy for real commitment to real change on our streets.

More Sunday Streets in 2010
We're pleased that Gavin Newsom announced the 2010 Sunday Streets schedule -- with even more routes, dates and neighborhoods than last year! More than 20,000
San Franciscans enjoyed car-free streets at each of last year's Sunday Streets by participating in healthy activities ranging from bicycling to dancing, rollerstaking to hula hooping.
We expect even more people to enjoy the event this year, which will happen on nine Sundays starting in March and ending in October.
Check out www.sundaystreetssf.com for
the schedule and route details.
Take an Urban Cycling Workshop
Start your year of bicycle commuting right by attending one of the Bicycle Coalition's free Urban Cycling Workshops. Our in-class Intro to Safe Cycling Workshop starts later this month with classes being held a couple of times per month at locations throughout the City. These classes are great for new cyclists who want to ride in traffic safely, and for experienced cyclists who want to brush up on their skills. Classes cover loads of information including how to choose the right bike and properly fit a helmet, tips for the safest ways to ride in traffic, techniques to avoid or deal with road hazards, the best way to lock up your bike, how to use a bike in combination with public transit, cyclists' legal rights and responsibilities, and much more. Pick a class and sign up today!
And don't forget to tell your cycling friends and neighbors!
