With a dozen miles of new bike lanes, new bike boxes, bikeways, and bike racks, this year's Bike to Work Day is sure to be a record breaker you won't want to miss! Show Support for 100 Miles of Crosstown Bikeways by Biking to Work
This year's Bike to Work Day is a great way to show support for the SF Bicycle Coalition's vision for 100 miles of continuous crosstown bikeways, Connecting the City. Big kudos goes to the SF Municipal Transportation Agency (SFMTA) for filling in the gaps on the green, separated bikeway on Market Street, a key part of the Connecting the City vision. This year, we are working hard to extend that green ribbon east to the Embarcadero. To keep the city rolling, the San Francisco Bicycle Coalition is working hard to have three continuous miles of bikeway from JFK Drive, connecting through Fell and Oak streets and into the traffic-calmed streets of the Wiggle route in the Lower Haight, along the 'Bay to Beach' Route.
