|  Bike Buddies help get folks rolling on two wheels!The SFBC's Bike Buddy Program is here to help with route rides to introduce you to common or tricky routes, workshops, commuter convoys for special events and Bike to Work Day, and a forum actively moderated by experienced Bike Buddy mentors, all to help you ride confidently. Commuter ConvoysCommuter Convoys, provide an opportunity to roll downtown in the company of other cyclists departing each of the eleven districts from neighborhood meet-up spots on three Thursday mornings in April and May to get you ready for Bike to Work Day, Thursday, May 13. Bike Buddy Route RidesHit the street and get acquainted with common or challenging bike commute routes in San Francisco on a Bike Buddy Route Ride. An experienced bike commuter leads these rides at an easy pace; new riders are encouraged. Local bike mechanics will be providing free basic bike maintenance--like oiling chains, adjusting seats and fixing flat tires. Locations & Times How to Bike Anywhere & Fix a Flat WorkshopsJust in time for Bike to Work Day, the SFBC will show you the best way to get around town quickly and safely by bike and how to fix a flat tire--the most important bike maintenance skill.
