Bike Buddies help get folks rolling on two wheels!

The SFBC's Bike Buddy Program is here to help with route rides to introduce you to common or tricky routes, workshops, commuter convoys for special events and Bike to Work Day, and a forum actively moderated by experienced Bike Buddy mentors, all to help you ride confidently. .


The Forum

Get hands-on help from more experienced riders who can show you the ropes and help plan routes in the city. Ask questions and exchange helpful tips and advice with other cyclists on the Bike Buddy Forum.

Bike Buddy Route Rides

Hit the street and get acquainted with common or challenging bike commute routes in San Francisco on a Bike Buddy Route Ride. An experienced bike commuter leads these rides at an easy pace; new riders are encouraged. Join one of these upcoming Bike Buddy Route Rides:

August 8: Downtown to Bayview-Hunter's Point

September 12: To the Golden Gate and back


How to Bike Anywhere & Fix a Flat Workshops

Just in time for Bike to Work Day, the SFBC will show you the best way to get around town quickly and safely by bike and how to fix a flat tire--the most important bike maintenance skill. All this great info in just 90 minutes!
