SFPD and SFBC partner to produce officer training video
New video schools the SFPD on bike traffic
The SF Police Department has recently added a new training video to their curriculum, explaining bicyclists' legal rights and illustrating some common San Francisco cycling situations and the appropriate police attention they require.
The SFBC was closely involved with the SFPD in producing the video (you might spot some familiar faces rolling through it) and we're very pleased to see it deployed in use throughout the SFPD, from the Police Academy to District Stations around the city. We're sharing it far and wide — it's got useful information for everyone on the road, not just police officers — take a look and share the link.
You might also grab a handful of our Know Your Rights flyer, it's the flip side of our popular Give and Get Respect flyer.
Thanks to SFPD Officer Brenda B. Walker and to the SFPD's Training Division for all their good work in making this video.
(If you cannot view the YouTube video above, you can also download a 28MB QuickTime movie).
