Connecting San Franciscans to the Waterfront
Let the Port know how much you like the temporary separated bikeway along the Embarcadero (in the ground through Sunday) -- and how much you'd like to see a permanent bikeway. We encourage you to use the text below as a guide to email the Port of San Francisco
Dear Ms. Moyer:
The Embarcadero has unparalleled views of the San Francisco Bay and is a treasure for locals and visitors alike. The Promenade is a prime route to the Ferry Building, AT&T Park, Fisherman's Wharf and people's workplaces and homes - but is often over-crowded.
The SF Bicycle Coalition's vision is to upgrade the current on-street bike lanes on the Embarcadero into a two-way separated bikeway, giving you more space to get to work, go to the Farmer's Market or soak up the views on your bike.
The above rendering is one possible way to make biking on the Embarcadero safer and more attractive to commuters and visitors to San Francisco.
Take our 5 minute survey to weigh in on what you'd like to see change on the Embarcadero.
Stay tuned for more information on how you can get involved, and contact Kit if you have any questions or want to be added to our Embarcadero campaign list.
