Family Day is a fun way to start or expand your family biking routine! Join a Bike Train from different locations on the way to the event or just show up and ride with us in the car-free space of Golden Gate Park.

This FREE event will feature fun games, valuable biking activities, and the chance to share tips and tricks with other biking families. Make sure to bring a blanket and picnic.

GETTING TO FAMILY DAY



Catch a Bike Train! Families are encouraged ride to the park with a Bike Train, parent chaperoned biking groups. On your Event Registration, let us know if you are planning to bike to the event and we may be able to connect you with other families so you can ride together.

Below are the current Bike Trains riding to the event together. If you're interested in joining or leading a new train, please email bonnie@sfbike.org.

  • 9:30am: Mission Playground (Valencia St and Cunningham Pl) - Led by Jessica
  • 10:00am*: Start of the Panhandle (Corner of Fell St and Baker St) - Led by Jessica
  • * Allow a 10 minute window, this is a 2nd stop for above train.

    MUNI Bus routes: 5-Fulton, 28-19th Ave, & 44-O'Shaughnessy Bus.
    MUNI Metro: N-Judah (exit 9th Ave & Irving St)

    Complimentary valet bicycle parking provided

    Note: JFK Drive will be closed to cars as part of Healthy Saturdays
