Dec. 2, 2008, 6-7pm
Hundreds of free bike lights were distributed to commuting cyclists traveling along the city's major bike corridors on Tuesday, December 2nd, 2008, from 6-7pm.
San Francisco Bicycle Coalition volunteers teamed up with the Municipal Transportation Agency to Light Up the Night by installing hundreds of blinky white front lights and blinky red back lights on bikes riding in the dark. The Light Up the Night bike light giveaway corresponds with the darkest month of the year to increase rider safety in the dark.
