SFBC Rec Ride: The Partnership RideWed., May 22 | Meet 5:30pm | Huckleberry Bicycles, 1073 Market St.The ride starts at 5:30 at Huckleberry Bicycles and ends at KASA Indian Eatery at the Soma Street Food Park. The theme? Partnerships! Feel free to dress up as a famous partnership (or half of one) and win a prize for the best costume! Ride includes a bingo style trivia game, a raffle prize, costumes, and you get to learn about some of our wonderful partnership shops! Beer, snacks, and beverages provided along the way! (Costume not required to attend)
SFBC Rec Ride: Tour du FromageSun., May 26 | 10am-4:30pm | Meet at McLaren LodgeJoin JB Rumburg, Other Avenues' Cheesemonger for the Tour du Fromage--a bicycle ride highlighting his favorite cheese stops in San Francisco. JB has been a worker-owner of Other Avenues Coop for 10 years, and will be sharing his cheese expertise and experiences by way of bicycle. The ride will take you to the far reaches of the fromage frontier--from Ocean Beach to North Beach. This ride promises to stretch your legs and taste buds!

With scant professional training but plenty of hustle, these Canadian brothers left their mark across the width of our city. Come discover some of their work and hear their story.

From the turn of the 20th Century through its first few decades, James and Merritt Reid designed an impressive number of San Francisco's buildings, from theaters to hotels, office towers to townhouses, bandshells to barns. We'll take a look at nine of the Reids' Richmond District projects that help round out the collection.
