SPRING WILDFLOWER TOUR

Lead by Pete Holloran and cosponsored by the Yerba Buena Chapter of the California Native Plant Society. The Presidio is chock full of sparkling vistas and remnant wildland gems. Highlights of the wildflower tour include the native plant nursery, the award-winning Lobos Creek dunes restoration project, newly-restored dunes at Crissy Field, and other tucked-away corners of the Presidio's wild lands. The ride is timed for the peak wildflower bloom. Enter the 25th Ave/El Camino Del Mar gate, travel 200 meters northeast on Lincoln Boulevard, and turn right into the very first parking lot by the old Army Reserve Center (now the Park maintenance building). Bring lunch, water, and a friend or family member! Heavy rain cancels. (Pete (415)647-5300).
