Volunteer Projects

Even if you hate people, canÍt make it to volunteer nights, or donÍt have the time to commit to a campaign, there are still 101 ways to help the cause for better streets. HereÍs a quick sample:

  1. The SFBC provides valet bike parking 10 hours a day, for 10 days during the Gay and Lesbian Film Festival, June 18th through the 27th. Bike park for a shift and get a free festival ticket! Many shifts = many tickets!
  2. Internships available for college credit! Be an office slave, reinvigorate an existing campaign, or create your own project! ItÍs your choice. Chances are high that if youÍre the slightest bit motivated, your internship will be fun and worthwhile.
  3. We need an urban planning student or any interested writer to research and write a paper about the relationship between race, class, and bicycles.
  4. Designer needed to design a cheap, lightweight display stand for the Tube Times at local shops.

Call Mary at 431-BIKE, x1 about any of these projects.
