Bike Fair, Activists' Training by Tubular Times Staff

Bike Fair Celebrates Fun & Safety
Gather up the family, grab your bikes, and head on over to Golden Gate Park for the Second Annual Bicycle Fair, Sunday, September 19th, 11 am-4 pm next to McLaren Lodge. Win fun bike prizes, receive free basic bike maintenance, attend skills training classes, and just plain have fun. New this year is a one-mile family bike ride along JFK Dr. Throughout the day, kids can take part in a professional bicycle rodeo, teaching them the rules of the road (complete with bikes and helmets).

Activists' Skills Training
Learn how to write a great Letter to the Editor, be a more powerful public speaker, an effective meeting facilitator, or, generally, a great activist who gets things accomplished. This second-annual, free SFBC activists' training workshop is Saturday, August 14th, 10 am-4 pm at 312 Sutter St., #500. RSVP at 431-BIKE, x2.
