Bicyclists can flex their political muscle by voting on four crucial transportation issues Tuesday, November 2nd. The SFBC is endorsing several ballot initiatives that will have profound effects on our city.
A Yes on Prop. I and No on Prop. J vote would replace the Central Freeway with a tree-lined, European-style Octavia Boulevard, also allowing for the construction of nearly 1,000 new housing units and open up $30 million for new transportation improvement projects such as Muni improvements, bike lanes, and traffic calming.
By voting Yes on H, we can help bridge the gap in our regional transit network by linking Caltrain to the existing local and regional transit lines downtown.
And a Yes on E vote should result in better Muni service and more balanced policies from the Department of Parking and Traffic (DPT) by combining DPT with Muni.
