Your ride up Market Street - at least two key sections of it during the busiest hours of the day - will soon be less hectic and a lot more enjoyable. A proposal to add tow-away zones on Market St. westbound between Octavia and Gough (4-7pm) and eastbound between McCoppin and Valencia (7-9am) passed the Board of Supervisors and should be implemented by Bike to Work Day. About a dozen parking spaces will be removed a few hours a day, making room for 300 bikes/hour.
