REC RIDE: PANORAMIC HIGHWAY

Crissy Field Entrance, Marina Blvd @ Baker
They don't call it Panoramic Highway for nothing! This ride has some beautiful views. Round trip 35 miles to Stinson Beach or turn around at Muir Woods for a nice 24-mile ride. Don't be intimidated, no one will be left behind! Rain date: May 12th.

FREE BIKE DOCTOR CLINIC
Sun., May 6 | Noon to 3 pm
Peacock Meadow, Golden Gate Park, near McLaren Lodge
Is your bike rusting away in the garage? Had a flat tire for years? The Bike Doctor can help! Give your bike the check-up it deserves at the Bike Doctor's free bike upkeep clinic. Volunteer mechanics will be on hand to give your bike the loving care it needs.

URBAN BIKING WORKSHOP

New to city cycling? Learn safety tips especially for the urban commuter, from safely passing cars and fellow cyclists to staying out of the dangerous car-door zone. Bring your bike for hands-on practice.

Our quarterly meetings give members the chance to learn about our campaigns and meet other bicyclists. And we're screening a classic bike film (TBA).

WETLAND ECOLOGY BIKE TOUR

Crissy Field Center, Masonic & Halleck St.
This pedal-powered tour will take you from recently restored Crissy Field wetlands to Heron's Head Park, another wetland restoration project in Hunter's Point, riding along the city's unique shore.Sponsored by SFBC and Literacy for Environmental Justice.

Today is the day to get on your bike and get counted. A dozen "Energizer Stations" around the city offer special treats for participating bicyclists. See list of energizer stations on opposite page.

Headed South? A bike train for commuters headed to South San Francisco and points beyond meets at 7 a.m at the 12th and Market energizer station.

Commute to work en masse after an early-morning coffee social! Meet for coffee, then join the herd for a huge group ride downtown, leaving at 8 am.

Celebrate the end of work! Celebrate the bicycle as a great way to travel at the Bike Away from Work Party. Cheap food, drinks, plus a great raffle with many prizes. Free.

ICONS OF EARLY SF HISTORY TOUR

A leisurely bicycle ride visiting historical sites from the City's fascinating past, tracing its evolution from God and Country to pleasure and activism. Bring fluids, lunch and layers.

BIKE TO BLOOMS TOUR
Sun., May 20th | 10 am
McLaren Lodge, Golden Gate Park
Visit local natural areas and learn about San Francisco's natural heritage, including open spaces in the central part of the city such as Glen Canyon and Twin Peaks. Ride is be short but hilly. Bring lock.
