2018 Bike Tree Love

Saturday, April 28, 2018 @ 8:00 am - 2:00 pm

Bring your bike out on April 28th for a Friends of the Urban Forest Planting day. And fear not, our Community Bicycle Build Program provides bicycles for those without wheels as well as trailers to volunteers for the day.

Friends of the Urban Forest makes it easy and affordable for San Franciscans to get new trees in front of their properties. Street trees beautify and improve neighborhoods, increase property values, reduce storm-water runoff, and clean the air. In collaboration with neighborhood residents, we organize a tree planting in each neighborhood about once every 18 months — or when there is enough interest in the area.  On planting day, FUF staff, volunteers and residents plant trees for everyone in that neighborhood who wants one. We celebrate with a potluck lunch afterwards! -Friends of the Urban Forest
