We’re partnering with People Protected Bike Lane to call attention to serious safety issues on Howard Street. While Folsom Street has received near term protected bike lanes, Howard Street still has not received a similar treatment. Cars and other vehicles currently park and drive in the existing bike lane creating unsafe conditions for the hundreds of daily riders.
On Wednesday, May 5, we will join hands and make a statement on the Howard bike lane. We need to see movement on near term and long term projects for Howard Street!
Join us, candidates Jane Kim, Matt Haney, Christine Johnson and Sonja Trauss to create a People Protected Bike Lane from 5:00 pm to 7 pm. Please join us for any part of this time window to contribute to what may be our largest people chain yet!
