The Ocean Beach Master Plan, a vision for San Francisco’s western coast, recommends ways to improve coastal access, restore ecological function and protect critical infrastructure in the face of chronic erosion and sea level rise. Join SPUR and other project partners for an update on the implementation of the three projects on coastal management, transportation and open space. This project has the potential to significantly improve biking and walking along the western edge of the city, creating safe connections and a welcoming experience for all.
This open house will provide updates on three projects currently underway to carry those recommendations forward. Each of these efforts will result in proposed projects that are ready for environmental review, permitting, and implementation on the ground over a period of several decades. The project teams will be on hand to discuss their work in progress and get your ideas and feedback. As sea levels rise, big changes are inevitable, but we can work with the changes to make better places for everyone.
