For those who already know how to change a flat, the Intermediate Bike Maintenance Clinic will cover topics such as brake, derailleur and headset adjustments; how to keep your drivetrain clean and running smoothly; and other topics such as how to wrap your handlebars. External Maintenance Class at the Bike Kitchen*

Over three weeks we will cover installing and removing tubes and tires (i.e. fixing a flat), installing brake and shift cables, adjusting brakes and gears, chain maintenance and truing wheels. No previous bike knowledge is required or expected, but a willingness to learn and have fun is a must! Class will be hands-on, so bring a bike and get ready to get greasy. Internal Maintenance Class at the Bike Kitchen*

Over three weeks we will cover the installation, overhaul, adjustment and maintenance of the bicycle’s bearing systems (headsets, bottom brackets and hubs), freewheels and cassettes. No previous bike knowledge is required or expected, but a willingness to learn and have fun is a must! Class will be hands-on, so bring a functional bike and be ready to get greasy. On Road with Your Family/Bike To School Workshop

Yes, you can bike to school! Learn the Rules of the Road and how to ride safely in the street with children. We’ll help you get comfortable biking for everyday transportation as a family. After a short safety session, we’ll practice riding together as a “bike train.” Children must be accompanied by an adult and have basic biking ability.
