The SF Bicycle Coalition leads a Bike & Roll to School "bike train" from Excelsior Playground Hub to nearby elementary schools. Join parents, teachers and students who gather with bikes and scooters (and helmets!). If you take the bus or drive to school, hop off MUNI at Madrid and Persia, or park the car and come join the fun. There are also "walking school buses" for walkers and strollers. Gals with Gears is a group of women aged 50-plus years young (although all riders are welcome!) who explore the Bay with monthly scenic rides. The Grizzly Peak Cyclists club will host their oh-so challenging & oh-so beautiful GPC Century on May 7, 2017 in the East Bay. San Francisco’s annual Ride of Silence is a group ride to honor those that have been injured or killed while biking. This ride takes place in over 50 countries on the third Wednesday each May, with thousands of riders coming out in support and solidarity. This important ride helps to spread the message that cyclists represent precious lives.
