Photo Recap of Bike to Work Week
We’re still celebrating yesterday’s record-breaking Bike to Work Day. The SFMTA reported that 75% of morning roadway traffic was bicycles. What an amazing day. We wanted to share some of the great photos that made us smile this Bike to Work Week. Check ‘em out.
SF Bicycle Coalition’s Renee Riviera, Acting Executive Director, waves to the smiling crowd at City Hall. To her right are SFMTA staff who worked hard to get improvements like the Market Street Green Bike lanes and on-street bike parking on the ground by Bike to Work Day.
Hundreds of SF Bicycle Coalition volunteers handed out reusable tote bags at 27 Energizer Stations around the city.

Five on-street bike parking corrals were installed the day before Bike to Work Day. This is a great innovation to bring to this vibrant commercial corridor. Thanks SFMTA for getting these on the ground.
The separated bike lanes on Market Street turned a bright emerald green. We’re thrilled that Mayor Newsom is testing this innovation on the busiest bicycling street west of the Mississippi.
