The San Francisco Bicycle Coalition’s Connecting the City vision is moving ahead with two upcoming community meetings for projects on the popular Bay to Beach route.  The SFMTA is holding community meetings for separated bikeways on JFK Drive (between Stanyan and Transverse) and Fell and Oak Streets between Scott and Baker Street:

· JFK Drive Separated Bikeway Community Meeting

Tuesday, August 16, 6:30pm – 8:00pm, San Francisco County Fair Building, 1199 9th Avenue (At Lincoln Way)

· Fell and Oak Streets Separated Bikeway Community Meeting

Tuesday September 13,  6:30-8pm, San Francisco Day School, 350 Masonic Avenue (at Golden Gate)

Your voice is crucial to make these long-requested projects move forward.  The SF Bicycle Coalition supports a fully continuous separated bikeway for both of these key corridors and the SFMTA is looking for input on various design options.  These two projects together will help the huge and growing number of San Franciscans who bike get to work, cultural attractions, school and home again safely and comfortably.

The community meeting for the three blocks of Fell and Oak Streets will be the first time the public will views concepts for these long-awaited improvements – your voice to move this project forward fast is essential.
