Members, It’s Time to ‘Bike the Vote’

Bike the Vote season is upon us! Election day is November 4 and this will be an exciting year, with five seats on the SF Board of Supervisors and one seat on the BART Board of Directors up for election, in addition to three very important transportation-related ballot measures.

This election is an opportunity to ensure that we keep San Francisco rolling toward becoming a better, more bike-friendly city by supporting the most bike-friendly candidates. The SF Bicycle Coalition will be making candidate endorsements and we’re calling on you , our members, to help us determine who deserves our influential endorsement. Your voice is essential in guiding our decision, so please weigh in and let us know who you think are the most bike-friendly candidates.

How to Vote

1. Read the candidate responses to our questionnaire on bicycling issues.
2. Go to our Bike the Vote page and cast your vote.

Only SF Bicycle Coalition members may participate in our endorsement process. Voting will end on Tuesday, September 2 and our final Candidate slate will be released in mid-September. After you’ve voted, remember to take a few minutes to check on your voter registration status, or if you moved recently, register to vote, to make sure when the November polls open you can help us Bike the Vote and make San Francisco an even better place to bike.
