Butterlap is a weekly bike ride and a hidden secret of San Francisco. It happens every Wednesday at 7pm. The ride starts in front of the Ferry Building, follows the northern coast and ends at a bar in the Mission (What’s better than that?). There are stops to rest and good for all rider levels. However, it is an exercise ride, so be prepared to sweat! There are two major climbs and three major descents.
This ride is absolutely beautiful, seeing the sunset over the Golden Gate bridge is indescribable. Usually there is a group of 10-15 people, more if the weather is good. Bringing a bike with gears, gloves, a coat, lights and water is suggested.
Note: The ride typically ends at Bender’s Bar in the Mission please remember to bring a lock.
