Women’s Workshop #3 – Bike Camping and Touring*

Wednesday, March 22, 2017 @ 6:00 pm - 8:30 pm

Free

Whether you’re considering your first overnight trip or biking across Europe, adventuring by bike is FUN, and we’re excited to have our next panel of speakers share their tips and stories, answer your questions, and show us some of their bike setups!
Our guests for this workshop:
Jess Chan – Jess has welded her own bicycle frames, toured various places throughout the United States, can make some handsome, functional bike bags, and she’s applying to be a 2017 Blackburn Ranger – she does it all!
Erika Dumaine – Erika has done the AIDSLifeCycle numerous times, founded the SheSpoke women’s cycling club, has biked across Europe from Amsterdam to Greece, and is also training for the 2017 CrossFit Open!
Jessica McElroy – Jessica fell in love with bike touring a few years ago and quit her job to bike across the country on the TransAmerican Trail. Within the last six months, she has toured through Oregon from Portland to Crater Lake, from Mississippi to Tennessee on the Natchez Trace, and through Chilean Patagonia on the Carretera Austral.
Come get the scoop on how these women got into bike camping and touring, what their pro tips are, their favorite adventures (and misadventures), see what they pack on a trip, AND MORE! Bring yourself, your questions, and your friends!
This event will be located on the 5th floor at Sports Basement – Bryant St. (elevator is located near the cash registers by the entrance). Light snacks and refreshments will be provided.
