153 New Ways to Park Your Bike at Civic Center BART Station

Thanks to Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART) and their dedication to secure bike parking, they have expanded their facilities at Civic Center Station. A new BikeLink room – similar to the one at Embarcadero Station – holds 89 bikes, and more new corrals have space for 64 more bikes. With these new additions, the number of parking spaces for bikes at Civic Center Station is up to 216 spaces in total.

The proposal was originally approved by the BART Board of Directors in September of last year, and construction began quickly, finishing up just in the past few weeks. An extra big thanks goes to Steve Beroldo, manager of access programs at BART, whose work ensured a speedy delivery on this project.

Come celebrate with us next week, as we’ll be there for the formal ribbon-cutting of the new bike parking at Civic Center Station. Our Executive Director, Noah Budnick, will be joined by representatives from BART, as well as other City agencies who supported and funded this project.
