"I think it may be an amazing change. We've seen other streets in this city take on a completely different feel after being revamped. We know from the plans we see that it will happen here."

Get Your Heart Pounding at Love on Wheels Next Wednesday
Love on Wheels, the dating game for bike-friendly people, is next week! Come watch real-life bike bachelors and bachelorettes quiz a blind panel to select a date and enjoy a night out at a hip local spot courtesy of our fabulous sponsors. Meanwhile, hot bike-friendly singles swap phone numbers while everyone -- single and not-so-single -- enjoys the show and cheers on the contestants.
Keep Market Street Improvements Rolling in the Right Direction
The required right turns for private vehicles on Market Street at 10th and 6th Street have increased the number of people biking and walking on Market Street, and sped up MUNI trips in the downtown core -- now the city needs your help to keep improvements to Market Street rolling. Since the required right turns were first introduced in 2009, San Franciscans heading to work, going shopping, and visiting restaurants downtown have enjoyed more reliable transit and a more comfortable walk and ride thanks to fewer private vehicles.
New Bike Lanes Connect the Mission and SOMA
The first stages of the 17th Street bike lane project are already on the ground on Potrero Avenue, connecting 17th Street to Division Street. These few blocks of bike lanes on Potrero Avenue are a key link between the Mission and SOMA, connecting Mission residents to the mile of bike lanes along Division and Townsend, straight to the Caltrain station or further downtown.
A Few Hours a Week for Better Biking in San Francisco
Light up the Night: The San Francisco Bicycle Coalition is proud to partner with the SF Municipal Transportation Agency and the SF Police Department to distribute lights to people who are biking without them. This season, we've distributed hundreds of lights, along with tips for safe night riding. If you are trained in outreach and you would like to be one of our light station heroes and install lights on Mon., February 7, 5-7:00pm, please email Tessa to volunteer.
Add Your Voice in the Call for a Continuous Separated Bikeway
The San Francisco Bicycle Coalition would like to give thanks to all our members who have already voiced their support for a continuous, separated bikeway on JFK Drive in Golden Gate Park -- but we still need more voices!

Email email@example.com to get on the email list, or if your neighborhood's streets are in need of a pothole sweep!
