A family bicycle workshop

Join San Francisco Bicycle Coalition and families with kids, in a car-free space like Golden Gate Park or during Sunday Streets for Freedom From Training Wheels. Instructors will be on hand to help kids learn how to ride without training wheels. Bring bike, helmet and maybe some snacks to share.

Sunday September 6, 11am - 1pm, Great Highway at Taraval, along Sunday Streets route

Sunday September 20, 1pm - 3pm, JFK Drive west of Conservatory Drive in Golden Gate Park

Sunday October 11, 11:30am - 1:30pm, part of SFBC's Family Day in Golden Gate Park off of JFK Drive at the Doughboy Picnic Area (North of Stow Lake and east of the Transverse Drive overpass) (map)

The workshop is a "must" for any parents trying to teach their children to ride a bike. Having an enthusiastic instructor who is not the child's parent made all the difference in the world. The workshop was also a great way to meet and support other like-minded families who see bikes as essential to daily life.
