Cargo Way bike lanes
Connecting the Bayview and southeast waterfront
Thanks to the dedicated work of the SF Port, a new two-way separated bikeway is going in the ground on Cargo Way between Third Street and Jennings Street. Bike lanes were approved for Cargo Way in 2009, and the SF Port and SFMTA upgraded the design to include physical barriers from moving vehicles, and green pavement and bike-specific signals at certain intersections. Stay tuned for more updates as this project is completed in March-April 2012.
