Pedaling to Prevent Pollution

Global Warming Gases are heating the planet, and every trip by bike instead of car reduces the effect of Global Warming Gases by an amount listed in the table below. You also reduce hydrocarbons, fine particulates, and carbon monoxide, too. Biking to downtown, or a bike/BART combo, for my commute avoids Global Warming Gases equal to 2,400 pounds of carbon dioxide a year — and avoids life-draining traffic and parking hassles.
