Learn to Ride and Family Biking at Denman Middle School Shared Schoolyard Kickoff

Sunday, February 26, 2017 @ 11:00 am - 1:30 pm

Free

Safe Routes to School and SF Shared Schoolyard Project present this YBike Learn-to-Ride event, which introduces bicycling to elementary school aged youth in a fun, safe and structured way. Children practice bike handling and balance skills at their own pace. With a goal of helping every child master the skill of riding a bicycle, YBike instructors help new riders and their parents work based on each child’s ability. YBike instructors will also help children who have some biking ability improve their skills, by practicing turns, stops, and hand signals. We provide bikes of all sizes and equipment. Just bring a good attitude and a little determination. (You may bring your own bike).

Children of all ages welcome! More details at sfsaferoutes.org/calendar

11:00 a.m. -1:30 pm: Learn-to-Ride workshop

1:00 p.m.: Bike-to-school leader training followed by a neighborhood ride for parents and youth.
